« Levez-vous et venez à moi »

« Voici, je suis Jésus-Christ, dont les prophètes ont témoigné qu’il viendrait au monde » (3 Néphi 11:10). Par ces paroles, le Sauveur ressuscité se présente, accomplissant plus de six cents ans de prophéties du Livre de Mormon. Jeffrey R. Holland a écrit : « Cette apparition et cette déclaration constituent le point central, le moment suprême, de toute l’histoire du Livre de Mormon. C’est la manifestation et le décret qui ont éclairé et inspiré chacun des prophètes néphites. Tous ont parlé de lui, l’ont célébré par le chant, ont rêvé de lui et prié pour qu’il apparaisse, mais maintenant il est réellement là. Le grand jour est arrivé ! Le Dieu qui transforme chaque nuit sombre en matin brillant est arrivé »

“Arise and Come Forth unto Me”

“Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world” (3 Nephi 11:10). With these words, the resurrected Savior introduced Himself, fulfilling over 600 years of Book of Mormon prophecies. “That appearance and that declaration,” Elder Jeffrey R. Holland wrote, “constituted the focal point, the supreme moment, in the entire history of the Book of Mormon. It was the manifestation and the decree that had informed and inspired every Nephite prophet. … Everyone had talked of him, sung of him, dreamed of him, and prayed for his appearance —but here he actually was. The day of days! The God who turns every dark night into morning light had arrived”
