L’idée que l’on trouve le bonheur « en commettant l’iniquité » est courante de nos jours. Comment le respect de l’Évangile nous apporte-t-il le bonheur véritable ?
LDM : Alma 41 : 11, 14
11 Et maintenant, mon fils, tous les hommes qui sont dans un état naturel, ou, dirais-je, dans un état charnel, sont dans le fiel de l’amertume et dans les liens de l’iniquité ; ils sont sans Dieu dans le monde et ils sont allés à l’encontre de la nature de Dieu ; c’est pourquoi, ils sont dans un état contraire à la nature du bonheur.
14 C’est pourquoi, mon fils, veille à être miséricordieux envers tes frères ; agis avec justice, juge avec droiture et fais continuellement le bien ; et si tu fais toutes ces choses, alors tu recevras ta récompense ; oui, la miséricorde te sera rendue ; la justice te sera rendue, un jugement droit te sera rendu, et le bien te sera rendu en récompense.

6 Par la bonté et la fidélité on expie l’iniquité, Et par la crainte de l’Éternel on se détourne du mal.
The idea that happiness can be found “in doing iniquity” is common in our day. In what ways has living the gospel brought us true happiness?

11 And now, my son, all men that are in a state of nature, or I would say, in a carnal state, are in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity; they are without God in the world, and they have gone contrary to the nature of God; therefore, they are in a state contrary to the nature of happiness.
14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again.
