2 Et il les appela par leur nom, disant : Vous invoquerez le Père en mon nom, en prière fervente ; et lorsque vous aurez fait cela, vous aurez le pouvoir de donner le Saint-Esprit à celui à qui vous imposerez les mains ; et vous le donnerez en mon nom, car c’est ainsi que font mes apôtres. 3 Or, le Christ leur dit ces paroles au moment de sa première apparition ; et la multitude ne l’entendit pas, mais les disciples l’entendirent ; et le Saint-Esprit descendit sur tous ceux à qui ils imposèrent les mains.

14 Les apôtres, qui étaient à Jérusalem, ayant appris que la Samarie avait reçu la parole de Dieu, y envoyèrent Pierre et Jean.
15 Ceux-ci, arrivés chez les Samaritains, prièrent pour eux, afin qu’ils reçussent le Saint Esprit.
16 Car il n’était encore descendu sur aucun d’eux ; ils avaient seulement été baptisés au nom du Seigneur Jésus.
17 Alors Pierre et Jean leur imposèrent les mains, et ils reçurent le Saint Esprit.

2 And he called them by name, saying: Ye shall call on the Father in my name, in mighty prayer; and after ye have done this ye shall have power that to him upon whom ye shall lay your hands, ye shall give the Holy Ghost; and in my name shall ye give it, for thus do mine apostles.

15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
